Executive Search & Business Advisory

The Advisory Group is headed by David Reading who has access to a wide range of senior consultants to participate as required, depending upon the nature of the client project.

Typical assignments may be:

  • Search for a Key Executive

Executive Search

The search for a Key Executive always begins with a detailed analysis of the role and what will be the Key Performance Indicators that must be achieved. This review enables a detailed profile of the targeted executive to be prepared, observations of where they may be recently employed, and a definition as to the required remuneration package to be offered.

A Fixed Search Fee of calculated at 15% of the estimated Remuneration Package will be negotiated and is paid in three equal components, Retainer, Short List and Commencement.

If Press Advertising is used or Travel & Accommodation costs outside of Sydney is required then these will be chargeable to the Client.


Development of Marketing & Business Plans

The nature of the Client's business will determine who will be engaged to undertake the assignment, but this will always be overviewed by David Reading. The initial phases of an assignment will be undertaken at an agreed daily fee. Once the scope of the task is fully documented its completion may be conducted to Fixed Cost as an alternative to the daily fee basis.

Marketing & Business Plans will frequently be needed for review when appointing new senior executives or seeking loan funds as well as for general business management of the business.


Investment Memorandum

If a business owner is seeking to exit or inviting additional equity funds for the business a detailed Investment memorandum will be required.

This document needs to be prepared through the eyes of a prospective investor as opposed to the current owner of the business. It will require components of a marketing and Business Plan as well as selected Financial Reports to be available.

Recommendations will also be made as to the proposed structure of the offer to a new investor


Business Analysis Specifications

To proceed with the development of an IT based new business application requires that the requirements be defined in terms that are understood by non IT executives in the current business.

These requirements must record all relevant details of the information to be managed and defined in terms that will be required by IT specialists who are assigned the task of selected software packages or developing new software.

It is equally critical that the purpose of the new business application is weel defined and what specific benefits are to be gained.

Business Analysis tasks need to be undertaken to agreed daily fees although an estimation as to the time likely to be needed will be given before commencement


Selection of Business Applications Software

The task of selecting software packages requires an understanding of the business and an awareness of IT technology and the status of a software vendor in the local and global marketplace.

BlueQ has no alignment with any Vendor and is able to be objective in its advice


Business Intelligence

This software allows for immediate extraction of business results and provide for it to be presented to business executives in a variety of formats. Information can be taken from a variety of business applications and combined to show relationships that may not otherwise be apparent.

The Business Advisory Group can both define the optimum application of Business Intelligence in a business and introduce suitable vendors who can meet the agreed requirements.
